About the Artist
Like a cryptid, I have a tendency to lurch out of the woods with an armful of art, dumped haphazardly on someone’s patio, only to stumble back into the shadows and not be heard of for another month.
I am largely self-taught, which has given me a unique perspective on the creative process. If we measure from the time I was able to grasp a crayon, then I have been practicing for roughly 30 years. Growing up on a steady diet of cartoons and animated movies helped me start my journey into illustration. Through my teens, I primarily used pen and markers to complete pieces, then transitioned to charcoal and watercolor while in college. After completing two years of art school, I switched almost exclusively to digital, which is my specialty to this day.
Character design and concepts have become my bread and butter as an artist, which has taken me across the internet and back with all kinds of clients. I’ve even been been lucky enough to work with the U.S. government when designing mission patches. Thanks, Uncle Sam!
What I want most is to make you smile when you see my work.
Please, enjoy!
